Relief Preaching
Greetings from Fishinger Road Church of Christ in Columbus!
The Need:
As you may be aware, there is a growing trend among our brotherhood in Ohio and surrounding areas regarding the availability of sound Christian preachers. Specifically, congregations are needing 1-time or short-term help with capable preachers delivering the gospel message.
The Ministry:
To help address this need, our congregation has developed a “relief preaching” ministry comprised of retired preachers and trained experienced men. These men have agreed to volunteer their talent and time by traveling and speaking at congregations that need preachers on specific dates. The content of the sermon(s) may be the following:
- The Plan of Salvation
- Jonah
- Colossians
- Specific text/material as requested
If your congregation or one nearby may need some relief preaching, please let us know! Whether due to travel, health, or unforeseen circumstances, if the regular preacher is unavailable, this service may be a good option.
There will be no cost to the host congregation.
We ask for 1 week lead time for preaching requests.
